Forty-three of us gathered in Colorado Springs last week to sharpen our skills, explore the editing world, and see God’s hand in our lives. What a wonderful time we had!
Our faculty talked about strengthening our businesses, expanding and improving our editing services, why we might consider hiring an accountant sooner rather than later, and much more. Our keynote speakers reminded us of the importance of being filled with God as we build our businesses and serve our clients. A big thank-you to Allen Arnold and Ben Wolf for their wisdom.
Many attendees left with a new sense of focus and clarity from the Holy Spirit. One attendee travelled six hours by train and fourteen hours by plane to attend PENCON. She said it was well worth the craziness. What an incredible commitment to attend our convention!
Audio recordings of the convention will be available as a full set or individual recordings. More information to follow once the recordings have been processed and prepared for distribution.
Hotel Eleganté Conference and Event Center was an amazing host for our event. The lunches were delicious, and the rooms were comfortable. Their staff was incredibly accommodating and truly went above and beyond to make our event run smoothly.
Thanks to everyone who helped with this third annual convention. Next year we will be in Atlanta, Georgia. We are excited to get started planning this conference as we close out our time in Colorado. If you would like to be a part of the planning team, please contact PENCON Director Jenne Acevedo or Assistant Director Susan Stewart. Many hands make a successful event, and we would love to have you on our team.
Early-bird registration for PENCON in Atlanta will begin in the coming months. Look at your schedule in May 2017, and consider joining us to be equipped and encouraged by others as we strive for the cooperative competition that God designed in our industry.
